Lift off for AMB 2020

19.07.2019

Registration period now ended: exhibition again booked up completely / Exhibitors talk about their 20th AMB

190713-P2The registration period for AMB 2020 ended on 30 June 2019. The project team is now starting to examine the received registration forms and is preparing the first placement proposals for the exhibition stands. "AMB is a permanent fixture in the industry's diary. This is also demonstrated by the high demand for exhibition space at AMB 2020," said Gunnar Mey, Department Director Industry at Messe Stuttgart. It is certain that the 20th AMB, which will be held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre from 15 to 19 September 2020, will also again be booked up completely and will occupy the entire area of the trade fair grounds.

But what has made AMB so attractive for exhibitors and visitors over the years? Four companies which attended AMB back in 1982 talk about their connection with the exhibition.

Lothar Horn, Managing Director of Paul Horn GmbH, sees a special connection with AMB: "We have a close association with AMB and have grown continuously together. In 1982 we exhibited at the event as a small Swabian company. Nowadays, we take part in AMB as the world market leader for precision tools. For us, AMB is like our own living room where we welcome our customers. It also clearly sets the standard as to what we want to present in terms of new products and innovations."

According to Holger Hehl, Area Sales Manager at Chiron-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, AMB is definitely the centrepiece of machine tool construction and the ideal meeting point for the industry in southern Germany. He added: "Every world market leader presents their innovations here and we have a platform to show metal cutting in detail to customers and interested parties."

Werner Gerstner, Sales Manager at Carl Zeiss AG, attended the very first AMB in 1982 and is still impressed by the exhibition concept. "AMB has always set standards and supported a large number of changes in technology. Every important topic is examined here and exhibitors show their portfolio solutions relating, for example, to electric mobility, Industry 4.0 or the Internet of Things.

Antonio Bottazzo, Sales Manager at Fritz Studer AG, a member of the United Grinding Group, can only confirm the further development from a national trade fair to the International Exhibition for Metal Working: "AMB has systematically expanded over the years and now attracts trade visitors from all over the world to Stuttgart."

Companies which registered before the closing date on 30 June 2019 will receive the first placement proposals from autumn 2019 onwards. Interested companies which did not register before the closing date can only be placed for the time being on the waiting list.
